Goals

Last night I looked back on the past week and realized how lazy I have been. Aside from school and work I don't have any other goals to work on. Maybe goals is not the best word, but activities or hobbies to keep me busy, and a better way to spend my time other then wondering around the house bored. Here is what I came up with...

1. Blogging, a few nights ago I watched the Movie Julie & Julia, and I loved the fact that Julie blogged about her experience cooking her way through Julia's cook book. I am not going to cook my way through a cook book or anything to exciting, but I thought I could keep up on my blog.
2. Develop my talents, I love playing the piano, and the other day I realized I play the same couple of songs over and over (I am sure my family is sick of hearing the same songs). My inability to read note has held me back from learning all the songs I wish to learn, but if I take the time and really try and focus and practice I am hoping to learn a few new songs.
3. Cooking, as my parents have moved away and I have learned to live on my own I cant help but realize I have no cooking skills. I should take this opportunity to learn to cook. I am sure my brother would appreciate a gook cooked meal every so often.

So for the next couple of weeks I am hoping I can work on these activities/hobbies and spend my time more wisely, and learn to better my life.

  1. Dear Kaitlyn,
I love you! Awesome goals/activities/hobbies! Just for the record, when I attended that Jon Schmidt, I had to brag to everyone that my little sister could play his tunes on the piano! You are an excellent piano master! I look forward to hearing you play again, and eating your baked goods. love, Jesse (your brother)

  3. Great Goals! With cooking just take things one recipe at a time and don't get overwhelmed. Just think of something you like, find a recipe, and give it a try. Maybe you can make me something next time I'm in town!
